OUR DEFINITION OF THE TERM 'NON-LEAGUE'

Our definition of a 'Non-League' Team on this website is generally Clubs who play in Senior Saturday Football from the Blue Square Premier League (Football Conference) downwards and operate on more or less a Semi-Professional basis', although for our Non-League catalogue, we have included all mens' clubs who play their football on Saturdays, including the A.F.A. Leagues such as the Amateur Football Combination and the Southern Amateur League, and even down to parks' level.

HOW WE FILM, EDIT & PRODUCE NON-LEAGUE MATCH DVD'S & VIDEOS

All 'Senior Saturday'/Semi-Professional Non-League Matches are generally filmed in stadiums or 'fenced-in' grounds at which there is normally a reasonable vantage point on or near the half-way line for us to use just the one camera set up on a tripod. Of course some Non-League grounds are not ideal for filming a game of football and some of our recordings are spoilt slightly by pillars obscuring parts of the pitch or by having to film matches at touchline level for various reasons. However, we always ensure that we have a clear view of both goalmouths whenever we are filming, so goals are never missed because of a pillar, a linesman or a spectator's head getting in the way !
For Cup Finals, depending where our cameraman is filming the game from, we normally capture the post-match presentations of trophies and medals by taking the camera off the tripod and using it 'shoulder-mounted' at the presentation table to enable good close-up shots of the delight (or misery) on players' faces !

All Non-League matches up until April 2001
were recorded using an S-VHS camera which produced a good quality image, but that was greatly improved when we upgraded to the Mini-DV (Digital) format thereafter. Our cameramen then invariably began to use the Canon XM2 or the Sony PD150 or PD170 range of digital cameras, all of which produced broadcast quality pictures. From Season 2007-2008 onwards though, our cameramen are now using even better cameras such as the Canon XHA1, the Sony HVR-Z1E and the JVC GY-HD251E. These can all film in true widescreen (16:9) format and in HDV (High Definition) if required.
Matches filmed up until May 2003 were edited & produced by feeding the footage from the camera master tape into a stand-alone non-linear editing suite which was not DV-enabled. This
means that the edited master copies of all matches filmed before then are in the S-VHS format and DVD or VHS copies for customers are run off from that. Although the copies of those matches are of reasonable quality, the acquisition of computer-based editing software in July 2003 meant we were able to produce vastly improved copies of matches filmed from the start of Season 2003/2004 onwards, as the source footage and edited version is kept in a loss-free digital format which is of television broadcast quality. Slow-motion replays and titles are now greatly enhanced and more importantly, copies of all matches filmed from the start of Season 2003/2004 onwards are available on DVD's which include menus and chapters whereby the goals can be accessed at the click of a button rather than by rewinding and searching. (DVD's of matches that were edited & produced before Season 2003/2004 are straightforward copies from S-VHS master tapes, so they do not include menus and chapters).
The finished (fully-edited) version is kept as the Master Copy for an unlimited period of time, both in tape format and on DVD, so copies for customers can then be run off at any time in the future (as per those listed in our Catalogues on this website).
All Non-League Match DVD's & videos include the full match with Extra-Time & Penalties if necessary, together with all the usual post-match presentations for Cup Finals, but we do not do a match commentary or film interviews and dressing-room scenes, mainly because the cost of recruiting extra cameramen or a commentator is too expensive for the average Non-League club.
Up until March 2005, most of our Non-League Match DVD's & videos included a narrated introduction describing both teams' line-ups and current form. However, we no longer do that due to a lack of time to script the narration, although the improved picture and editing quality more than makes up for that. There is no match commentary on any of our Non-League Match DVD's & videos, mainly because good (and knowledgeable) commentators at Non-League level are hard to find, although we may experiment with that in the future depending on willing volunteers who do not want paying ! (It would prove too costly for Non-League Clubs to afford if they did). In general, we prefer to use plenty of captions throughout our videos instead, and these display the names of goalscorers, substitutions, latest score and  players who have been booked or sent off, etc.
All copies of Non-League Match DVD's & videos are supplied in presentation boxes with full colour inserts featuring either ground shots or still-frame shots of footage from the actual match.
(See the examples above right for videos and left and below for DVD's).
From Season 2007-2008 onwards, all matches will be filmed, edited & produced in the widescreen (16:9) format. Most TV stations now broadcast all football matches in widescreen, so we anticipate that most of our customers will already have widescreen TV sets on which to view their DVD's. If you are watching our DVD's on a standard 4:3 ratio TV set, the DVD's should display in widescreen with black bars at the top and bottom of the picture.
Sometime during Season 2008-2009, we are hoping to start filming and producing matches in high definition on HD-DVD or Blu-Ray discs. Our cameras can already film in that format, but Blu-Ray or HD-DVD recorders and players are not readily available at this moment in time. Please note that prices for filming, editing & production in high definition (HDV) are also likely to be a lot more expensive than we charge for the current standard definition (SD) format.
Our Non-League Match DVD's & videos (and Compilations) are more expensive than those produced by other cameramen/video companies who film for Non-League clubs because we put a lot of effort into the filming, editing & production of each video to make them as professional as possible.
Most other cameramen/video companies involved in Non-League Football prefer to sell their DVD's and/or videos for as little as £5.00 each, but they are invariably just a straightforward unedited copy direct from the camera master tape without any titles, team details or slow-motion replays inserted. This can result in a lot of 'shaky' camerawork being left in which can make the footage rather irritating to watch, but the general standard of camerawork on our Match DVD's & videos is second to none in Non-League Football and even puts the filming on some professional clubs' videos to shame !
Other video companies/cameramen also tend to sell their DVD's & videos to clubs and/or supporters in a plain 'tape manufacturers' box, but with all copies of our Non-League Match DVD's & videos being supplied in proper presentation boxes in the Home (or winning) team's colours, these look far more appealing to supporters when they are put on display in club shops.

OUR NON-LEAGUE FILMING HISTORY

We started off our coverage of Non-League Football back in the early 1990's when Laurence Hughes persuaded his local club, Enfield F.C. that by filming all their matches Home and Away and selling copies of the Match Videos in their club shop, it would be a good fund-raising venture. This was immediately taken up, and although we filmed the games free of charge, it proved to be a worthwhile exercise as Enfield F.C. were a successful club at the time and enough money was made from the sales of Match Videos and Compilations to continue filming them on a regular basis until the start of the 1998-1999 Season. (Click here to read more about our filming of Enfield F.C. matches).
However, as Enfield's fan-base dwindled thereafter due to the sale of their Southbury Road ground
(See picture right) and financial difficulties, we therefore needed to film for a club with bigger support in order to continue as a business, so we agreed to cover Aldershot Town during the 1998-1999 Season, mainly due to former Enfield Manager George Borg inviting us to do so after he had been appointed Manager at Aldershot Town for that season. Although we sold three times as many copies of Match Videos and Compilations than we ever did at Enfield, the journey to Aldershot from our base in Edmonton was just too long and we had to decline their offer to continue filming their matches the following season as we were wasting too much time stuck on the dreaded M25 !
We then took a season off to concentrate on designing this website and the one for our sponsored Sunday League club Edmonton Rovers, while we also used the time to experiment with new computer-based editing ideas and catch up on a large backlog of editing work. We then resumed filming Non-League football half-way through the 2000-2001 Season when we covered Farnborough Town's run-in to the Ryman League Premier Division title under former Enfield player Graham Westley, this proving to be another successful venture for us. Again though, we declined the offer to continue filming for them the following season due to the travelling involved, and for Season 2001-2002 onwards we decided to start covering several different Non-League clubs by just picking and choosing a match each week where we thought there might be a possibility of selling copies to supporters who had not purchased any of our videos before. This coincided with the formation of Enfield Town F.C. by disenchanted Enfield supporters, and we covered a large number of their games in addition to several for the likes of Dulwich Hamlet, Bishop's Stortford and Cheshunt amongst others, although sales of videos were rather disappointing and it appeared that the novelty was starting to wear off for some clubs.
In 2003 we then received an offer from the Footballers Football Channel to film all Home matches for Nationwide Conference clubs Gravesend & Northfleet and Dagenham & Redbridge, in which the footage was to be broadcast on the Internet. We immediately took up the offer as it was the first time we had actually been paid for filming and it guaranteed us an income rather than relying on sales of Match Videos. While we were working for the Footballers Football Channel (otherwise known as T.F.F.C.), we did not have access to the footage after matches in order to produce Match Videos, so the games we filmed for them are therefore not listed on this website, but the venture did not last long anyway as T.F.F.C. unfortunately went bust within a year. Fortunately, when that happened (in early 2004), Gravesend & Northfleet (now known as Ebbsfleet United) agreed to pay us themselves to continue filming every Home match and we have continued to do so ever since. With Dagenham & Redbridge deciding to use their own club cameraman, we then immediately accepted an offer from Ryman League Premier Division leaders Canvey Island to film all their Home matches as well, on the same paid basis as Gravesend & Northfleet, and that proved to be a wise move, as Canvey Island won the title that season and were then promoted to the Nationwide Conference as well. We then continued to film for both Gravesend & Northfleet and Canvey Island for the 2004-2005 Season as they both invariably played at Home on alternate Saturdays, but when Grays Athletic were promoted into the Conference for the 2005-2006 Season, Gravesend and Canvey's Home matches then clashed, so we decided to take up an offer to film for Grays Athletic as well so that we would be filming every Saturday and we therefore filmed all Home matches for all three clubs during the 2005-2006 Season.
Unfortunately, Canvey Island voluntarily dropped out of the Conference at the start of the 2006-2007 Season to play at a lower level, so we therefore filmed Home games for Gravesend & Northfleet and Grays Athletic only last season, whilst also providing footage to Conference TV for showing on the internet.

WHO WE NOW FILM FOR ON A REGULAR BASIS

We have been filming for Gravesend & Northfleet (See picture right) since early 2004 and for Grays Athletic since the start of Season 2005-2006. When their Home games clash, which fortunately is not very often, we use freelance cameramen to help us out so that all games are covered. These cameramen are invariably from other Conference clubs or other Edmonton/Enfield-based cameramen who have plenty of experience in filming Non-League and amateur football matches for us. You can read about some of the freelance cameramen we use by clicking here.
For Season 2007-2008, due to new sponsorship deals, the Conference's top Division is now known as the Blue Square Premier League, while Gravesend & Northfleet have changed their name to Ebbsfleet United. In January 2008, Ebbsfleet United were taken over by the website myfootballclub.co.uk (commonly known as MyFC), and that has resulted in our Ebbsfleet United Home match footage from that date onwards being streamed to viewers worldwide on the MyFC website. Although we are still filming the matches, they will not be listed on this website and footage can only be obtained via Ebbsfleet United F.C. and the MyFC website. This is actually a very good deal for us, and we hope to continue in our role as the main camera operator for filming Ebbsfleet United Home matches for the foreseeable future. This will be in conjunction with IPTV company Juzou, who will film from alternative camera angles, film interviews, and undertake the editing and production duties for the MyFC website.
All Conference (Blue Square Premier League) clubs that we film for on a regular basis are charged £60.00 per match (which they pay on the day of the match in cash or by cheque) for two unedited copies (on VHS or DVD) to be run off straight from the camera as the game is being filmed. These unedited copies are then given to the respective Team Managers straight after the game, which is a Conference legal requirement. In return for us only quoting a price of £60.00 per match, the clubs must provide the VCR's and/or DVD recorders themselves and have them already set up for us before the kick-off on purpose-built television gantries on top of the stand roof above the half-way line. Unfortunately, Grays Athletic no longer have a television gantry due to their local Borough Council refusing to grant planning permission, so we now have to film from the back of the main stand, which is only five rows of seats high and with dugouts obscuring most of the pitch...as you will see from the picture below left. The excellent view from where that picture was taken is no longer available to us, but we were able to film from that angle during Season 2005-2006.
If there is a demand from supporters to buy a minimum of five copies on DVD of a particular Home match involving the Conference clubs we film for, then we will edit the footage and produce Match DVD's including titles, slow-motion replays and transitions, and sell them to the respective Club Shops for £8.50 per copy (to retail to supporters at £11.00 per copy, thereby making a small profit for the club). Matches that have been edited and produced will then be listed in our Non-League Catalogue on this website. Invariably though, most Conference matches we film stay unedited, although if there is no demand for an edited & produced match DVD, we save all the best highlights from the camera master copies with a view to producing an end-of-season Compilation/Review DVD using that footage. However, this normally depends upon us finding somebody who can script a narration or do a voice-over/commentary, which is something that we have been unable to do so far, although we are looking into that possibility. For Ebbsfleet United this season, that task will be undertaken by MyFC and Juzou with us receiving royalties from the use of our footage.
We also have our footage from Ebbsfleet United and Grays Athletic Home matches shown on Setanta Sports' Blue Square Premier Review Show every Friday evening at 6.00.p.m. This has replaced the internet deal with Conference TV that had been in place for the previous two seasons.
For Setanta's show, our normal charge to TV companies of £150.00 per match applies, although due to a 'misunderstanding' by the Conference, we are having to provide footage for a compromised amount which is a great deal less. Nevertheless, any money received from TV companies showing our footage is invaluable to us as it enables us to keep the cost of filming down to £60.00 for the clubs instead of the £100.00-plus that we would normally have to charge.
Both Ebbsfleet United and Grays Athletic are excellent clubs to work for and they also play at venues which are easy to get to from our base in Edmonton, so at the present time, we are not looking to film any other Non-League Clubs on Saturdays and in midweek. Should one of these two clubs decide they no longer need our services or their Home fixtures clash on a regular basis, then a vacancy will arise for another club to have all their Home games filmed and the terms and conditions for filming will be negotiable depending on the League that the interested club plays in. Please contact us if your club wishes to be placed on a waiting list in that respect.

HOW WE GET BOOKED TO FILM NON-LEAGUE MATCHES

Most of our bookings to film one-off League matches or Cup Finals for Non-League clubs have been as a result of us filming on a regular basis for the likes of Enfield, Aldershot Town, Farnborough Town and more recently Gravesend & Northfleet (Ebbsfleet United), Canvey Island & Grays Athletic. Filming for such high-profile Non-League clubs has enhanced our reputation, especially when their many different opponents have ordered copies of Match Videos and/or DVD's and subsequently seen the quality of our productions.
Although we currently film for Ebbsfleet United and Grays Athletic every Saturday and most Tuesday evenings, we can still take bookings to film one-off matches and Cup Finals for Non-League clubs as we may have freelance cameramen available on some Saturdays and particularly on other midweek evenings.
Our contact details and website address is included on the back of every DVD/video insert that we produce (See the example right), and many bookings that we receive to film matches are from clubs who have seen another club's DVD or video and contacted us as a result.

TELEVISION COMPANIES REQUESTING FOOTAGE

We quite often have requests from television companies to use footage of goals and any other major incidents from matches we have filmed, or to use archive footage we have of players in their Non-League or Youth Team days before they became famous.
For this, we do a copy of the footage required from the Master Tape onto another Mini-DV tape and generally charge £50.00 (for unlimited showings) for that if it is for regional TV or for streaming on a website, and £150.00 or more (for unlimited showings) if it is for National or Satellite TV.  Please be aware that we do not allow courier services to collect camera Master Tapes from TV gantries straight after a match without us making a copy first, and we request that all payments for courier collections are made by the TV company and that the tape is returned to our office once you have the footage you require.
Laurence Hughes and most of our freelance cameramen are also available to film matches in the South-East of England specifically for television and internet companies for a minimum fee of £150.00 per match, particularly in midweek. This price is for capturing on Mini-DV tapes in standard definition, either in 16:9 or 4:3 format. We can also film in high definition on Mini-DV HDV tapes for a minimum fee of £200.00 per match. These fees include giving the TV or internet company the camera master tapes straight after the match.
Please contact us for further details.

SOME REASONS WHY YOU MIGHT WANT US TO FILM YOUR NON-LEAGUE TEAM

  • You might be playing in a top-of-the-table match, a local derby or against a team from a higher level and want the game filmed because it is a 'big game' or momentous occasion for your club.

  • Your club is playing their last-ever game at their old stadium before moving into a new one (or playing in their first-ever game in their new stadium).
  • If you have a well-run Club Shop or a good Commercial Department, you can make a good profit for your club from selling copies of the DVD or video to your supporters, even if your average attendance is less than 100.
  • For an additional fee of £50.00, you can use our footage as a highlights package viewable from your Club Website or on YouTube.
  • If your match is captured on film it will allow your Team Manager & Coaching Staff to analyse the play and correct any mistakes they or their players may have made tactically.
  • Referees can also book us to film matches. Videos of matches have helped quite a few referees to progress in their 'careers' after studying and then correcting their positioning (for example) when making decisions in matches.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU ON OUR NON-LEAGUE MATCH VIDEOS & DVD'S

  • FILMING OF THE WHOLE MATCH (including Extra-Time & Penalties if necessary)
  • FILMING OF POST-MATCH PRESENTATIONS OF CUPS & MEDALS (For Cup Finals)
  • SLOW-MOTION REPLAYS OF GOALS & MAJOR INCIDENTS
  • TITLES & CAPTIONS including BOTH TEAMS LINE-UPS & FORMATIONS, GOALSCORERS NAMES, SUBSTITUTIONS, LATEST SCORE, etc.
  • STEADY CAMERAWORK WITH GOOD CLOSE-UPS AND EXCELLENT SOUND & PICTURE QUALITY
  • COLOUR INSERTS FOR EACH COPY OF THE DVD (or video) INCLUDING STILL-FRAME PICTURES TAKEN FROM THE ACTUAL MATCH FOOTAGE
  • WE CAN FILM MATCHES ON ANY DAY OF THE WEEK (Evening Matches included)

Basically, we are very aware of how football is covered on T.V. and we make every effort to transfer their ideas to our coverage of Amateur & Semi-Professional Football. Some of the ideas we have picked up on are when to cut away to the crowd or the Team Managers, when to zoom in on the referee (after he has made a 'contentious' decision), when to put in a slow-motion replay, having the current score displayed in the top left-hand corner of the screen, and the use of titling effects to merge a team line-up into a formation with the players warming up in the background. Most importantly though, unlike other video companies who attempt to film football matches with just the one camera, we do not film cut-aways of the crowd while the ball is in play !
Obviously, we cannot reproduce the sort of coverage that they manage on Sky (with 20 cameras dotted around the ground and hi-tech graphics in abundance), but for Amateur & Semi-Professional footballers the most important thing is getting the match filmed properly for an affordable price and we manage to do that rather well !

  • We do not put a commentary on our Non-League DVD's and we no longer film pre-match build-ups such as coach journeys or pre-match or post-match interviews with players and managers. The reason for that is the lack of additional personnel available to carry out such jobs, together with the extra editing work it involves. Ultimately, it would result in clubs waiting twice as long for their finished product, while we also have to charge them twice or even three times as much as normal to pay for the extra cameramen, commentators and possible hire of equipment.
We prefer to offer a basic and affordable service whereby only one cameraman is used to film the match (and the presentation ceremony for Cup Finals) only. By doing this, we can cover more matches for more clubs.

  • Our cameramen film all matches as a complete neutral and show no favouritism towards any one side (such as refusing to zoom in on a goalscorer because he is playing for a team who have not initially booked us to film the match). This is because the team who have not booked us may decide after the match that they would like to share the filming fee and order copies.

  • In general, we only film matches within a 50-mile radius from our base in Edmonton, North London, and our pricing structure covers that distance. As a rough guide, the most Northerly point we cover is Cambridge, to the East is Colchester, to the West is Oxford, the South-West is Basingstoke and the South-East is Ashford (Kent).

INFORMATION WE REQUIRE WHEN YOU BOOK US TO FILM YOUR MATCH

  • YOUR NAME, POSITION WITH THE CLUB (e.g. Secretary, Club Shop Manager, etc.) ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBERS & E-MAIL ADDRESS

  • YOUR TEAM'S NAME
  • THE OPPOSING TEAM'S NAME
  • THE NAME OF THE LEAGUE (including sponsors) & DIVISION or CUP COMPETITION & WHICH ROUND
  • THE VENUE FOR THE MATCH
  • THE DATE OF THE MATCH
  • TIME OF KICK-OFF
  • WHERE CAN WE PARK AT THE GROUND ?
WHICH ENTRANCE DO WE GO IN ?
WILL THERE BE A 'PRESS PASS' ON THE GATE FOR US ?
IS THERE A PARTICULAR CLUB OFFICIAL OR STEWARD TO ASK FOR WHO WILL SHOW US WHERE TO FILM THE MATCH FROM ?
(The above questions are all for Home Teams who book us for filming)
  • Whether you have contacted your opponents to find out if they are interested in booking us as well (and sharing the cost).

Once we have all the above information, we then check on the availability of a cameraman and once that is confirmed, we then send you a Confirmation of Booking letter by e-mail which will give you all the necessary details.
The Confirmation of Booking letter will also instruct you whether to pay the cameraman on the day or whether to send a cheque to our office. This is because some of our cameramen are freelance operators who we prefer to pay ourselves once they have given us the camera master tape from the actual match.

VANTAGE POINTS TO FILM FROM AT YOUR GROUND

Finding a good vantage point to film a match from at a Non-League ground is often very difficult for our cameramen as only a small minority of clubs have either an unobstructed view from the back of a large main stand, a safe flat roof on a clubhouse, or a purpose-built platform/television gantry, and not all of these are situated on or near the half-way line. Most clubs have main stands that we cannot get to the back of to film matches because there are too many pillars obscuring our view of the pitch, while others have one small stand with only three rows of seats and a corrugated iron (or sloping) roof which we cannot get on top of for safety reasons.
At other times we are told to move our camera/tripod 'at the last minute' by club safety officers or stewards because we are in the way of spectators and sometimes end up filming at ground level near the corner flag somewhere !
All Non-League clubs who book us to film matches at their grounds are therefore advised to look into constructing a decent vantage point for us if they have not got a suitable position already. The size of the platform needs to be at least 6 ft. x 6 ft. (2 metres x 2 metres) square for our cameraman and his tripod and other equipment to fit on comfortably. Our DVD's/videos will be much more appealing to your supporters if they include a good clear view of the pitch from a decent height (e.g. 5 feet minimum and as near to the half-way line as possible).

HAVE WE FILMED YOUR TEAM BEFORE ?

If we are coming to film your next Home game, we can bring along some copies of previous videos or DVD's from our Non-League Catalogue that feature your team, so that you can sell them to supporters on the day.
This is how it works:

  • Phone or e-mail our office at least 7 days before the match with the titles and quantities you would like us to bring along on the day. (This will then give us enough time to get the copies run off).
Click here to browse through our Non-League DVD & Video Catalogue which may feature your team in previous matches we have filmed (Home or Away).

  • On our arrival at the ground (normally an hour before the kick-off), we will bring the copies into your club shop for you to put on display (or we will give them to the club official who is responsible for selling them to supporters if you do not have a club shop). We will charge the club at £8.50 per copy for both DVD's and videos, even if less than 5 copies are sold. (These should be sold to supporters at £11.00 per copy).
  • Immediately after the match (when we have finished filming) we will come into the club shop (or find the appropriate club official) to receive payment (in cash only) for all copies sold, together with payment for any copies that you may wish to keep for selling at future matches. We will then issue you with an Invoice/Receipt for the copies you have paid us for and take back all your unsold copies.
  • Please note that we cannot provide copies on the day and take payment if we are using a freelance cameraman to film your match.

ARE YOU THE AWAY TEAM ?

Please be aware that if you are the Away Team and you want us to film your Non-League match, you MUST obtain the Home Team's permission in advance, otherwise they may not let us inside the ground.
A growing number of clubs at all levels of Non-League Football now have all their Home games filmed by a resident cameraman or video company, so we prefer to do Home matches only.
If you are playing Away to a club who do not have their Home matches filmed, they may demand that we provide them with a free unedited copy of the game (for their Team Manager) in return for letting us film the match in their stadium. This will invariably mean that you will have to pay the full Filming, Editing & Production costs unless the Home Team agree to share that with you and obtain fully edited & produced DVD's.

Please also be aware that if your club have been drawn away to a Football League (or Premiership !) club in the F.A. Cup, it is highly unlikely that we will be allowed to film, particularly as TV companies have cameras present for all F.A. Cup matches from the First Round Proper onwards.

INFORMATION WE REQUIRE ON THE DAY OF THE MATCH

Your cameraman for the match will normally arrive at the venue at least an hour before the kick-off.  On doing so, they will enter the ground as per the Home Team's instructions (i.e. which entrance to go in, whether to pick up a ground/press pass, which steward or club official to see regarding where to video the game from, etc.).
If you are the Home Team, we would be grateful if one of your officials could supply our cameraman with a free match-day programme on his arrival at the ground, as we require as much information as possible from the programme in order to do the opening titles on the video.

If you are a small club without such things as a P.A. system, printed team-sheets for the press or even a match-day programme, it is essential that on the day of the match one of your club officials provides our cameraman with the following information regarding both teams, so that we can produce a DVD of the quality that we advertise:

  • THE PLAYERS FULL NAMES (no initials or middle names) and CORRECT NUMBERS OF SHIRTS WORN ON THE DAY. (Please watch out for any mis-prints of players names in the match-day programme).
  • YOUR TEAM’S COLOURS PLAYED IN ON THE DAY. (These colours will be used on the presentation box for the finished copies unless you inform us that you were wearing a change of kit and you would prefer your normal colours)
  • CAPTAIN’S NAMES
  • GOALSCORERS (in order of who scored)
  • SUBSTITUTIONS MADE (who came on for who and at roughly what time in the match...this is especially important if any half-time substitutions are made)
  • BOOKINGS or SENDING-OFFS (if any)
  • TEAM MANAGER’S NAMES
  • REFEREE & ASSISTANT REFEREE'S NAMES

At most of the Cup Finals we film for clubs at parks' and A.F.A. level, we find that the Team Manager is normally (and understandably) too busy to write out all the above details for us, so we strongly advise clubs to appoint another club member as being responsible for providing this information for our cameraman. It is always best if a club can find somebody to write things down as the match goes on, especially for details such as the correct shirt numbers for players, substitutions made and the goalscoring order, as these can all be easily forgotten after a match and it is extremely difficult for us to guess which player is which if we do not have the correct shirt numbers available when we are editing the video.

ADVERTISING OUR DVD'S & VIDEOS BEFORE OR DURING THE MATCH

Most Non-League clubs should be well-organised enough to inform their players, officials & supporters that we are filming their game and that copies of the DVD will be available for them to purchase from their club shop. This can be done by a mention in the match-day programme, over the P.A. system before the kick-off or at half-time, and on notices in the bar, clubhouse or club shop.
If players, officials & supporters are urged to pay for their copies on the day of the match (so that copies are reserved for them to collect as soon as they are delivered to your club), then you can easily collect in enough money to pay our cameraman the initial filming, editing & production fee (see pricing) on the day or to send a cheque to our office a few days later.
